Subject: Reiki Camp has started … IMPORTANT INFO
Our Reiki Camp started with great success with approximately 100 or more people joining in our opening ceremony. Our program was opened with the lighting of a flame and this was followed by us all singing in prayer to Lord Buddha to invite pure divine light to proceedings.
There were many speakers who talked about the joys of their own Reiki experiences and we are happy to report that our chief guest (Heetman Shakya) from the Nepali Parliament was also very interested and showed support for our cause. We would like to make special mention to our international guests, Marty – Reiki Master (Australia) and Lia – Reiki Level 1 (Germany) who were able to share their very own positive experiences to us all.
There was a great energy created from these sharing of experiences and this inspired Heetman Shakya to personally commit to help in the spreading of Reiki throughout Nepal. Heetman Shakya is a very important political figure here in Nepal so we are very happy that we have now made a key contact and ally in the Nepali Government for Reiki. We were also able to publish our details about the Reiki Camp in various newspapers throughout Nepal (both in English and Nepali).
The following extract was taken from the Rising Nepal Newspaper:
“Constituent Assembly member and leader of the UCPN-Maoist Hit Man Shakya demanded that the state provides incentives to the development of the Reiki healing method as it was simple and inexpensive.”
Our opening day was concluded with the organizer, Lama Ngawang Rigdzin, speaking about the ancient origins of Reiki and also a little bit about what is Reiki, how it works and what are some of the benefits. He also expressed to everyone that Reiki is something that is better understood through practice and real life experience and with this he gave his blessings for the many days of healings to come.
We have now just finished day 2 of the camp which saw over 25 people come to the Nepal Reiki Meditation Centre in need of Reiki healing. There were many Reiki Healers who helped out and we expect that there will be many more in the days that follow. We have also uploaded some photos on facebook so you can have a look if you like.
Our goal here is to further promote Reiki within Nepal and to continue in helping ease the suffering of all living beings and we are confident that this camp will make a strong impact here in Kathmandu.
Thanks to all who have helped us out along the way and we will send an update in the near future.
May the endless Reiki Divine Light flourish for all livings beings.

Reiki originated in Nepal and has ong been associated with
manifestations of the Buddha and Sutras such as the Lotus Sutra. Workshops such as these have a far-reaching purpose of returning
the benefits and practices of Reiki to the people who still inhabit the land of its ancient roots.
For such a task the number of healers is so far limited. Even so, 20 healers
handled the 20 beds available, 8 hours a day, every day for 8 days. Between 100 and 120
healings were given each day, totaling more than 800 healing sessions. On the final day,
22 patients were initiated as First Level Reiki healers. From seeds such as this, it is hoped
that the Reiki Hospital will grow into a reality with time. Nepal Reiki Chile's representative
Reiki Master Rod Walker was also present, and took part in the healing sessions and the
initiations.
