Reiki originated in Nepal and has ong been associated with manifestations of the Buddha and Sutras such as the Lotus Sutra. Workshops such as these have a far-reaching purpose of returning the benefits and practices of Reiki to the people who still inhabit the land of its ancient roots. For such a task the number of healers is so far limited. Even so, 20 healers handled the 20 beds available, 8 hours a day, every day for 8 days. Between 100 and 120 healings were given each day, totaling more than 800 healing sessions. On the final day, 22 patients were initiated as First Level Reiki healers. From seeds such as this, it is hoped that the Reiki Hospital will grow into a reality with time.
Nepal Reiki Chile's representative Reiki Master Rod Walker was also present, and took part in the healing sessions and the initiations.
