SOCIAL BENEFIT
THROUGH REIKI HEALING
The
NEPAL REIKI CHILE Social Benefit Group was founded in SURYA CENTER on 13-3-2007
by Reiki Grand Master Ven. Lama Ngawang Rigdzin of Nepal, in order to practise
Reiki in community clinics, prisons and senior citizens' and other groups. The
purpose is to multiply the beneficial effects of Reiki healing by forming
socially aware new healers in Villarrica as well as

with a view to supporting the
WHAT IS REIKI?
REIKI
means "Universal Energy".
Universal energy is a part of all of us, a natural quality we share in
common, earlier than any philosophical or religious belief system. All life
vibrates with the cosmic (electromagnetic) energy flowing through it and around
it, connecting it with the unity of everything else. It is everywhere, is
permanent, and every human being possesses it as a natural birthright. Reiki is
not a belief system, dogma or religion. It complements religion as easily as it
complements other healing therapies because it emanates from the universal
source of creative energy and gives a greater feeling of contact with it - a
profoundly healing, spiritual force best described as the Source of Life. By
increasing this spiritual awareness, the use of Reiki deepens existing
religious beliefs and practices. Reiki always works for good, never causing
harm and easily transcending cultural and religious boundaries.
This
vital energy or life force is affected by our thoughts and emotions. If they
are positive, we experience well-being. If they are not, the natural flow of
energy becomes blocked and the blockage manifests itself in imbalance,
pathology or illness. Reiki says the
principal source of illness is the mind. Reiki healing was known and used in
the East since ancient times, and became known in the West in modern times
during the 20th Century.
HOW DOES IT
WORK?
Reiki
is given by placing the hands in different positions on the body, and letting
energy flow through them to energize affected parts. Reiki is not
"sent" as such, the body absorbs what it needs. Absorbing a greater
amount, a person feels more at peace, relaxed and healthy. By clearing and
healing the energy channels, Reiki cures the very root of illness. Giving
treatment the healer also receives the benefit, by acting as channel for Reiki
energy to flow to the patient. As energetic balancing is involved, it is possible
that the healing process may produce unexpected physical or emotional effects.
These are normal, natural and temporary, and not a cause for concern. Reiki is
guided by its own healing wisdom, and is an effective complement to medical and
other treatments.

animals, plants, objects and places.
INITIATIONS
We
offer the Initiation transmitted by Ven. Lama Ngawang Rigdzin to three Levels
of Usui Reiki healing through compassion. This Initiation amplifies the
person's natural connection with Reiki, with the addition of self-healing and
healing teachings and practices. The complete process is integral and
indispensable. Putting it into practice requires considerable personal
commitment. Once this is undertaken, the healing power maintains itself through
time.
