IRO - INTERNATIONAL REIKI ORGANIZATION - WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? A WORLD REIKI CONVENTION IN NEPAL - AUGUST 2012 If you're interested in Reiki, and have anything to do with Facebook, you're likely to have seen messages from or to IRO with Reiki in the title. What's going on? As in everything to do with Reiki, it's good news. IRO HAS TWO MAJOR AIMS: >1. WORLD EVENT IN 2012 Organize a world encounter for Reiki healers in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2012. The key date is WEDNESDAY 15th AUGUST 2012. That date will mark the 147th Anniversary of Dr Mikao Usui's birthday. The encounter, appropriately, will last 21 days and will be held in or near to Kathmandu, Nepal. If that sounds a bit too far away, as it did to me at first, then here are a couple of Reiki thoughts. First, 18 months of constant visualizing will always make a difference to what's possible. Secondly, Reiki makes it possible to be there anyway without a physical presence. We'll put updates of the plan here on this page as events unfold. >2. WORLD REIKI NETWORK Start a world-wide working - informal but working - Reiki healer network. Actually this is already happening. One wonder of communication is the Internet. And one of the many wonders of Reiki is that it can be sent - instantaneously - to wherever it is needed. Put the two together, and what a powerful force for good we have accesss to - right here and now. So already many many people are enjoying the benefits of distance Reiki with only the simplest prior communication of the needs, the time and place and other details. MESSAGE FROM JAYA BHANDARI: We, Jaya N and Dorthe, want to build a mother organization - INTERNATIONAL REIKI ORGANIZATION, (IRO) to benefit all Reiki healers in the world. We want to gather as many people as possible because many of us often feel alone practicing Reiki and donīt have any organization to rely on if something unexpected happens. Until today, many of us have seen each other as separate, but from now we ask you all to see each other as colleagues, friends and companions who can bring Reiki Love and Light out to th e whole world. We need to come out and show the world how many we are, and how we all want to make it a better place. We also want to raise money to organize conventions and gatherings all around the world, to strengthen ourselves and start a movement. Let us show the world we are not mere idealists but actually are making a different here and now. All We need to do is focus on the good work we are all doing, and learn from each other. By doing so together we can lift Reiki to a higher level. As we all know, Reiki traces its modern origins back to DR. Mikao Usui. He once build Reiki- dojos to teach others how to work through Reiki. With the help of donations and investment we can open physical centers in Usui's name. He shared Reiki from his heart, and most of us are doing the same. Many of us have said they want to gather and grow stronger, in order to be taken more seriously as a force for good. This is the opportunity, right now. We do not need fancy buildings. We can work through this group and build our organization up slowly. We should make a head group of people representing each country taking part. Each country should build a branch of IRO, so every one can understand each other locally. Nobody needs to change names in the daily work they do, but simply add IRO to the names they have. We donīt want to interfere in what people are doing but help and support each other. We can do as Usui did and share Reiki with those who have nothing to pay with - and they can help support our project so it is available to everybody. we, Jaya and Dorthe, hold the dream of founding an International Reiki Convention in Nepal, in 2012 On Usui’s Birthday, 15th October. It is before the earth awakening and so we can help Mother Earth through her labor. But to make this dream come true we need every one of you ... Reiki people who want to work hard to build this International Reiki Organization, IRO. We are many and we think it is time for us to be united. The only rule is to follow Usui's principles. >A main board with representatives from every country taking part. >Each country decides how its national branch will operate >Departments work for geting money to conduct purposes of institution. >All members need to do to show membership is add the IRO-logo or initials to their names > Let's come together to make guidelines, with equal rights, to make IRO constitution.
